We have four episodes available for download at present, which are the four videos Mike produced from the July round.

To subscribe to podcANZ, copy and paste the below link into your podcast aggregator (like iTunes).

You can browse for it in the 'Hobbies' category, or search for it in the podcasts section using any number of appropriate keywords (though I found searching using the 'podcanz' keyword to work best).

New episodes will be added every month, and randomly as well when new videos are available. If you would like to contibute a video, please contact me via PM and we can coordinate. Videos are presently being optimised for iPod Touch and iPhone.

In the Itunes library submission, can you choose tags to associate with the podcast for searching?

Yeah, I've already filled the quota of 12 tags.

I can change them at any time though, got any suggestions?

Hey guys i know this might sound a lil naive in this day and age etc, but apart from being able to watch the video footage on a device that can run podcasts, is there any difference between watching a pod cast vid and just watching it via this website?

Is there a difference due to the format i asume to the size of the file?

Sorry never used pod casts so am unfamiliar with them.

No difference. Only thing is it's difficult to watch them off the forum when travelling on the train, plane or automobile. We're simply providing you guys with another option to pull the videos and watch them wherever and whenever suits you, not just when you're at work.

This also gives us the room to exploit the medium further down the track with specific podcasts that can include tech, reviews, and whatnot.

Thanks Linc. Are the podcast files in a different format so therefore smaller in size to down load to a device thatcan podcast?

Yeah, lower res and higher compression. But a half hour episode isn't that small a file at about 250mb.

Hey can kenworthit's axial awards video be added or does the video footage need to be owned by canz?

Doesn't have to be. I'm happy for anyone that wants to supply a video to contact me and we can have it uploaded. We'll probably watch it first to make sure it meets our high standards, and most importantly, has been properly encoded for the iPod/iPhone.

It should, MP4 is a pretty widely used format.
